Homework:
-Generate a response to the Orwell Introduction.
-Guidelines:
a. Use a formal voice like the one in the article.
b. Great title and a strong central idea-- in the introduction.
c. Follow MLA format
d. Quote article at least two times.
e. Quote the intro. when necessary.
f. Must be between 500-700 words long.
g. Demonstrate sentence variety
h. Effectively use literary terminology.
i. Effective combination of summary, paraphrase, analysis, and quotes.
j. Begins and ends in present tense.
k. Carefully proofread for mistakes. (You will lose 1/2 point for every grammatical
mistake, spelling error, punctuation error, parenthetical issue)
l. Cite the article as a "handout."
